Do you suffer from ADHD brain or mind racing? Does your brain often feel like it’s in overdrive?
A tip for your Time Management Revolution if you have ADHD Brain
Because time management is truly all about mind management, it becomes that much more important to take care of our brains. That’s why if your brain is constantly going 24/7, always thinking of the next great idea for your job or for your business, then that actually lowers your productivity. Yes, that’s right. Lowers your productivity!
Neuroscience tells us that our brains need to take a break. For some people, that break needs to be once an hour because they can’t work any longer than that with total focus. Others can work for a couple of hours with laser focus and not need a break. So the best thing for you to do is find out what your maximum true attention span is during which you can focus on one task at a time, and then take a break when that attention span is up. When we try to work through our lapse in focus, that’s when ADHD brain and mind racing will set in. Our brain go off track, and we get nothing done.
When we work our brains into the ground, we actually end up hurting ourselves because we are less productive. That means it takes us longer to get things done at work, which takes us away from the people we would like to spend time with outside of work.
When your brain is clear, you will be able to make better decisions about how you use your time.
